Now an independent industry observer, for nearly 14 years, Neal has researched and analyzed the digital media industry in a variety of leadership roles at BIA/Kelsey and The Kelsey Group. Most recently he served as President of BIA/Kelsey and CEO of The Kelsey Group before it was acquired by BIA. At The Kelsey Group, he also served as Director of Research and Consulting and VP of Advisory Services. During his tenure at BIA/Kelsey and The Kelsey Group he directed the team of industry analysts who collectively covered the ever changing and highly dynamic global local media industry. Under his leadership BIA/Kelsey launched advisory services focused on local search, verticals, mobile and social media.
Prior to joining The Kelsey Group, Polachek worked for a decade at Pacific Telesis Group (now AT&T) in a wide variety of management and leadership positions. Polachek speaks regularly at industry events in the United States and around the world. He holds a B.A. in economics from the University of California at Los Angeles and an M.B.A. from the University of Southern California.
